New Delhi, August 09:With the arrest of three persons, police today claimed to have busted a gang involved in looting passengers in a ‘tonga’ in the capital.
The persons have been identified as Ayub (51) of Delhi, Shahdat Hussain (40) and Sahiruddin from Badayun in UP, police said.
They had looted one Pradeep Kumar Mangal near New Delhi Railway Station on August one. Mangal had boarded a rickshaw and when he reached Near Delite Cinema, the rickshaw puller told that the vehicle is out of order and shifted his luggage in a ‘tonga’.
Later Mangal found that his debit card, credit card, driving license, cash of Rs 14,600 and other documents were missing. He lodged a complaint in this regard.
Acting on a tip off, police apprehended Hussian and ahiruddin yesterday. They disclosed that they work for Ayub who is their gang leader, police said. PTI
