Threatens by T Raja Singh to go on fast in jail

Hyderabad, April 14: TDP Corporator from Mangalhat, T Raja Singh, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the recent communal clashes, has threatened to go on a hunger strike in the Cherlapally central prison from Wednesday protesting the alleged harassment of youth belonging to a particular community by the police.

In a representation purportedly written by Raja Singh to Governor ESL Narasimhan and sent across to the media, the corporator said that he would continue to fast till his demands are met.

He demanded that the police stop registering false cases and harassing youngsters belonging to a particular community. “Youngsters arrested in false cases should be granted bail and all charges against them should be dropped so as not to spoil their future,” Raja Singh said.

He also demanded action against the police personnel responsible for slapping false charges and removal of Hyderabad Police Commissioner AK Khan.
