Lucknow: Second time in a row, Chairman of UP Backward Class Finance and Development Corporation Baburam Nishad has made it to headlines and this time for threatening her wife at gunpoint.
Mr Baburam Nishad who enjoys the status of a Minister of State had stirred controversy with a Tik tok video in which he was seen riding a virtual bike and dancing, News18 reports.
According to reports, wife of Baburam Nishad has accused him of domestic violence and threatening to kill her at gunpoint.
“My husband hit me and threatened to kill me. He even threatened to shoot me with a gun. My husband is a Minister and yet he behaves like this,” Neetu Nishad complained on social media.
Married for 14 years now, she added she seeks the PM Modi’s and CM Yogi’s intervention in the matter as her attempts to file a complaint against her husband have failed due to his position.
“The police officers are in apparent collusion with my husband. I was repeatedly told by them that the matter will be personally sorted with my husband. Despite that, he used to beat me.”
He has been torturing her ever since the wedding day she stated in her letter.
“He used to threaten me at gunpoint, urinate on me and thrash me badly… He also used to threaten to kill my parents and brothers.”
Meanwhile, Mr Baburam nishad has denied all the allegations levelled against him by his wife.
He has accused his wife of being a ‘spendthrift’ and stated she spends a lot of money and quarrels all that hence the reason for seeking divorce petition filed at Hamirpur district.
