Threat calls after criticising Mamata

(Siasat News)After criticism of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s remarks on corruption in the judiciary, Samaresh Banerjee, a retired Judge of the Calcutta High Court and former West Bengal Lokayukta received threat call.

After receiving threat call he filled a police complaint. He made remark during the discussion organized by one of the television channel.

He said that he received a threat call on Wednesday evening by an unidentified person. His wife again received a call on Thursday asking for him.

He claimed that he had no doubt that the calls were made due to the remark he made. He also added that it was a call from the supporter of the Trinamool Congress.

After getting these calls he lodge a complaint at the Bidhannagar South police station and provided the telephone number from which he received the calls.

When asked about the reasons behind his criticism of the Chief Minister’s remarks, he said that the remark made by her was very pained to hear.
