Due to delay in implementation of fee-reimbursement scheme in Telangana, thousands of minority students face difficulties and they are deprived of their degrees despite passing the exams. Arrears of fee-reimbursement scheme have not been released for two years as a result college administrations refuse to hand over documents including degrees.
Students complain that they are daily making rounds of Minority Welfare Department offices but they are told that government has not released the budget yet. Interestingly the government had directed to clear all the dues of the academic year 2014-15, by November 10, but officials showed no interest in this regard.
