Thirty employees absenting from work suspended in J-K

Srinagar, October 23: Thirty employees were today placed under suspension by the J-K government after they were found absent from work.

Forest and Environment minister Mian Altaf Ahmad this morning inspected various government offices in Kangan, 40 kms from here in Ganderbal district and found several officials missing from work, an official spokesman said here.

Child development officer of Kangan was also among the suspended.

Thirteen belonged to Child Development Project office, 11 to Block Development office and 5 were from Agriculture office.

Ahmad later said government is serious in improving the work culture and said officials must rise to the occasion.

He said government will not tolerate lackadaisical approach on the part of government officials.
