Jakarta, July 17: A car bomb has exploded near a shopping complex in the north of the Indonesian capital Jakarta, killing two people more than two hours after two luxury hotels in the city-centre were bombed, police have told local radio.
“There’s been another bombing at a toll road gate,” a senior police officer told reporters outside the JW Marriott hotel in central Jakarta which was bombed earlier in the morning along with the nearby Ritz-Carlton.
TV One quoted police as saying the explosion in the Muara Angke area, famous for its massive fish market, was caused by a car bomb in a shopping complex.
At least nine people were killed in the hotel attacks this morning, according to police.
