Think quality, not profit: CM to pvt colleges

Hyderabad, August 13: Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Thursday stated that private college managements should focus more on imparting quality education to students than think of earning profits.

Addressing the gathering after formally inaugurating an engineering college at Maheshwaram, Mr Rosaiah said that if the college managements focus on providing quality education, the state as well as the nation would get a good name.

Mr Rosaiah said that the state government is committed to develop the education sector in the state and has continued with student friendly schemes such as providing scholarships and reimbursing tuition fees even though it was facing shortage of funds.

The Chief Minister said that the government has given permissions to set up engineering and medical colleges in the state as part of its efforts to promote higher education.

Mr Rosaiah also said that though the government is trying its best to develop the educational sector, there is a lot more to be done. He said that the private colleges should come forward and help the government in its efforts to develop the education sector in the state.
