Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today underscored the need for alternative Medicare and treatment for offering complete healthcare to the people. The health minister launched a two-day Physicians Workshop at Gandhi Hospital here and asked the medical fraternity to focus on alternative medicare systems to offer complete healthcare to the people. Entire world is looking at Yoga for better health and fitness and people are not getting complete health services through a single system of medicare and it is time for alternative health system.
Indians are accustomed to culture and traditions wherein they used to get multiple types of treatments for the same health problem. Each type of treatment has its own importance and now the doctors have to ponder upon the alternative medicare and health services. This will ensure that the people will get complete healthcare he said. It is good sign that the people are now coming to government hospitals for availing the best facilities which can be attributed to the rise in their number to 30 per cent from 20 per cent.
He expressed concern on incidents of child or patient deaths due to negligence or lack of facilities leading to attack on the doctors and sought to dispel the problem at the initial stage.
The doctors should stop conducting unnecessary operations and appealed to bring good name to the government by offering the best services. (NSS)
