Lucknow, April 10: Thieves broke into the house a BJP MP in Gomti Nagar area here and decamped with cash and jewellery worth lakhs of Rupees, police said today.
The incident came to light when the caretaker residing in the servant quarters of MP Kamlesh Paswan’s house woke up in the morning and found that the locks of the house were broken.
Paswan, MP from Bansgaon parliamentary constituency of Gorakhpur, was not in the house when the incident took place.
The thieves took away cash worth Rs 20,000, two gold chains, a gold ring, a watch, camera and other valuables, according to the FIR, registered by the MP’s brother Vimlesh Paswan yesterday.
