Thieves get access to secretariat too

Hyderabad, August 2: Electronic items were stolen in a grim incident of theft occurred at state secretariat. The section officer of the concerned department lodged complaint against the incident at Saifabad police station. However the theft incident occurred at a high security zone area such as secretariat puts a question mark on the security arrangement and is nothing short of a challenge for high security zone.

Despite strict police vigilance round the clock, the occurrence of theft incident has become a headache for the Saifabad police and is a question mark on the performance of all security officers who are deployed at secretariat.

According to crime inspector Saifabad Mr. Shankar, the theft incident occurred at D block at secretariat where computers, CPU have been stolen from the IFR department of finance department. However police have recovered a key board near publicity cell which is believed to be not related to the stolen items. However, according to the complaint of section officer Venkateshwar Rao, two hard disks, 3 CPUs and a computer have been stolen. Police Saifabad are investigating the case.
