Theatre play “Spaces” on 126th Birth Anniversary of Salar Jung III

The 126th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Salar Jung III, Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan Bahadur, who had the world’s largest collection of artefacts owned by a single person, took place this weekend. The event will be ushered in by the staging of ‘Spaces’, Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation’s internationally-acclaimed heritage play about the changing face of Hyderabad, a story about roots and the value of heritage.

Written by Noor Baig and Mohammad Ali Baig, the play features Hyderabad’s theatre veterans Rashmi Seth, Vijay Prasad, S.A. Majeed in addition to Padmashri awardee Mohammad Ali Baig and Noor Baig. The play recently returned from standing ovations in Turkey and staged at Salar Jung Museum Auditorium on Saturday, June 13th at 7.30 pm. The ghazal programme on Sunday, June 14th features Sharad Gupta. The celebrations will be inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Mohammad Mahmood Ali.
