Tharoor avoids media in Parliament House

New Delhi, April 15: Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, whose resignation has been demanded by the opposition in the wake of the Kochi IPL ownership controversy, today chose to remain silent when mobbed by reporters.

As he left Parliament House after attending part of the proceedings in the Upper House, Tharoor was the centre of all media attention and was confronted with a host of questions including whether he has been granted an audience by party chief Sonia Gandhi.

He was also asked whether he is meeting Gandhi tomorrow and whether he thinks the party was backing him and if he is sticking to his stand of not quitting. Tharoor, who has been media friendly, chose to remain silent and boarded his car outside Parliament without taking any questions.
