A 21-year-old youth was arrested on the charges of brutally killing a man in Kalyan’s Kala Talao area, over a petty quarrel, police said today.
The incident took place shortly before midnight when Haji Abdul Jabbar Shaikh (35) was attacked with swords by
accused Budda Mohiddin Said Shaikh, killing him on the spot, they said.
According to PI S G Nerlekar of the Mahatma Fule Police station, the duo got into an altercation four days ago over a minor dispute.
An offence has been registered under section 302 of IPC and his body has been sent for postmorte, police said.
