Mumbai: Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Charuchandra College, Kolkata in the Reliance Foundation Youth National Football Championship here today.
The Kolkata side finished the match with 10 men after a 24th minute red card for Biplab Bera.
Despite taking an early lead through Firoj Ali (7 ), the Bengal team were unable to usurp the challenge of the spirited Mumbaikars who equalised in the 90th minute through Desmond Noronha (90 ) in the College boys category.
In the Junior boys category, Sacred Heart Higher Secondary school ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over local side Antonio DSouza High school.
The Kerala team found themselves two goals up at half time and quickly added a third to put the match to bed but Kamran Ansari pulled one back for the Mumbai team in the 60th minute.
Mumbai girls of Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School and Junior College, Navi Mumbai drubbed Bishop School 12-0.
