New Delhi, February 15: Lauding Mumbaikars for coming out in support of Shah Rukh Khan by snubbing the threat from Shiv Sena, Union Minister Sachin Pilot today said the Thackerays have made only a laughing stock of themselves by raising such issues.
“The whole of Mumbai has come out and has proved that the Thackerays were wrong. The people have proved that we cannot tolerate such things. Shiv Sena by raising this issue have made only a laughing stock of themselves,” said Pilot.
Speaking on the sidelines of a function ‘Doha Debates’ in the capital he said politics and sports should never be mixed.
When asked about the silence on the part of political parties when Shiv Sena called Shah Rukh Khan a ‘traitor’, Pilot said the government have dealt severely with those who indulged in violence and many Sena workers are arrested.
