Hyderabad, October 29: The Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee has decided to hold demonstrations and conduct rallies by wearing black badges on November 1, as a mark of protest against Andhra Pradesh Formation, in all the districts in the region.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, the JAC convenor Mr Rajender Reddy said that the advocates in twin cities would assemble at 1.30 pm on November 1 at Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park. The JAC has extended its whole hearted support to the students of Osmania University in their rally to the Gun Park from University, on the Andhra Pradesh formation day.
The Joint Action Committee has condemned the action of the management of Studio- N Channel in terminating the services of Telangana employees. He said that the JAC has extended support to the proposed Challo Studio N Channel programme organized by terminated employees on October 30. He demanded the Channel management to take the employees back into service forthwith, as otherwise the advocates will be compelled to take appropriate action.
The JAC has expressed its gratitude to the government for appointing Telangana Advocates as Standing Counsels in the High Court as per their share in the appointments made on October 26, he added. He demanded the State government to complete the exercise providing fair share to the Telangana advocates, in the remaining posts of government pleaders and assistant government pleaders and standing counsels.
He also demanded the State government to fill up the posts, maintaining the social justice in appointing to the law officer posts. He alleged injustice was done to SC, BC and women advocates in the present appointments in the region. He demanded the government to compensate it by way of appointing to the remaining law officer posts in the high court, maintaining the reservations to the respective castes and communities.
