Peeved at bifurcation, some of the Seemandhra Congress leaders are all set to join Telugu Desam Party. Staunch Samaikyandhra leaders like TG Venkatesh, Erasu Prathap Reddy, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Sridhar Krishna Reddy are understood to be joining the TDP. They, along with others, called on TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu and expressed their willingness to join the party. Naidu is said to have invited them into the party which will improve the poll prospects of the TD in the forthcoming general elections. Naidu is reportedly given his nod for those seniors from the Congress.
It may be noted that Naidu has already sounded his poll bugle at Vizianagaram wherein he heavily came down on the Congress for bifurcating the State at the cost of Seemandhra. Being unhappy with some Telangana leaders switching loyalties to TRS like Mahender Reddy, Ratnam and Narender Reddy, Naidu is expected to invite more number of senior leaders into the TDP. (NSS)
