Ranchi, September 03: Condemning the killing of Bihar Military Police havildar Lukas Tete, Jharkhand police chief Neyaz Ahmed today said the incident has exposed the Maoists.
“What message do they want to send by killing a person having three daughters. This shows their real face,” the DGP told PTI.
An alert was sounded across the state soon after the news about Tete’s killing reached here.
The body of Tete, who was among the four policemen of the Bihar Military Police kidnapped from Lakhisarai district on Sunday, was found this morning.
His wife and three children had gone to Patna to plead with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for Tete’s safe release.
Tete was the second tribal policeman who was killed by the Maoists within a year.
Jharkhand Special Branch Officer Francis Induwar had been killed earlier by the ultras.
