Hyderabad, September 05: Nearly 47 per cent of candidates have cleared the Teachers’ Eligibility Test whose results were declared here on Sunday.
Secondary Education Minister K Partha Sarathi on Sunday released the results of Teachers’ Eligibility Test, conducted for the first time, by the Education Department in the state on experimental basis. Releasing the results at Directorate of Education office, he said the aspirant teachers can check their results hosted on the official website http://aptet.cgg.gov.in.
The Minister said that 47 percent candidates qualified in the paper I; in the paper II under social studies 47 percent cleared the examination and in Science and Maths examinations 59 percent candidates qualified in the test.
Teachers’ Eligibility Test Director Sheshu Kumari said nearly six lakh candidates appeared for the test, which was held on July 31. Earlier, the announcement of results was deferred from August 30 to September 4 due to administrative problems. She said that the pass certificates would be dispatched to the respective candidates within the next 20 days.
APTET is the eligibility test for B.Ed and D.Ed candidates to get in to teaching profession in the state.
