In the wake of state bifurcation and elections to be held in the month of April, Teachers Eligibility Test TET 2014 is unlikely to be conducted. Source of education department said that since the notification of state assembly and parliamentary elections will be officially issued within one week, hence no test etc. can be conducted after issue of election notification. However after the elections if the new government would be interested to recruit teachers then it is likely to conduct TET.

It must be recalled that by issuing notification to conduct TET, fee was collected from the candidates. More than four lakh candidates applied for the test and they paid Rs. 10 crore online as exam fee.
