Test of seriousness of Govt. for protection of Wakf properties – Lanco Hills hearing next month

Hyderabad: Has any pact been inked between L. Rajgopal and TRS Govt. on the issue of Wakf land pertaining to Dargah Husain Shah Wali? This inhibition occurred when CM applauded L. Rajgopal when he met him.

It may be mentioned that Congress Govt. had allotted 1500 acres of Wakf land to various private organizations. This case is pending with the Supreme Court but Mr. KCR had made a promise that he would withdraw the case of State Govt. claiming the ownership of Wakf land.

It is reported that the hearing of Lanco Hills land is scheduled for 3rd week of February but the applause of Mr. KCR for Rajgopal is raising doubts whether any deal has been struck between State Govt. and Mr. Rajgopal. Under this pact, Govt. of TRS will not make an attempt to get back Wakf land from Rajgopal.

It may be mentioned that Rajgopal totally oppose Telangana movement. He had taken oath that in case separate Telangana State is formed, he would quit politics. He is alleged to have spent a lot of money for sabotaging Telangana Movement.

Talking to newsmen after the visit of CM at Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy temple at Yadadri, Mr. Rajagopal applauded the efforts of KCR for improvising Yadadri District. He also said that the name of Mr. KCR would be written in golden words in the history of Telangana.

It is the test of the seriousness of TRS Govt. as to what kind of steps it is going to take to protect Wakf land.
