IT Minister KT Rama Rao, who is on US tour to attract investments from international companies, today evinced keen interest to replicate the technology being used at Tesla company, which is environment-friendly. KTR said such Silicon Valley inventions are inspirational to T- Hub in Telangana to push ahead with its plan of encouraging startup companies. At the steering of Tesla Electric Car, KTR said its victory is inspirational to the entrepreneurs and researches in Hyderabad and elsewhere in India.
KTR today made visit to Clean Tech Incubator in I-Hub comprising startup companies relying on non-conventional energy sources at Silicon Valley in California, including and discussed with entrepreneurs about the project. He took stock of the clean tech inventions and discussed on bio-degradable plastic and said that such technology will help for a step to help build cities that sans plastic in future. He said normally the plastic used to get dissolved into the soil in 450 to 1000 years. However the plastic glass used in the startup companies is different and gets dissolved into the earth in just six months.
The IT Minister praised that the plastic car manufactured by Elan Musk is attracting the world over for its rare features. The car with a wind shield in front has panoramic view and reaches the high speed of 100 km in just less than four seconds of starting the engine and gives traffic alerts to the driver. (NSS)
