New Delhi:Terrorists have no religion and they mislead people in the name of ‘Jihad’, tarnishing the image of religion, Ajmer Dargah’s Deewan Zainul Abedin Ali Khan said on Wednesday.
Addressing the heads of various shrines from different parts of the country at the traditional ‘Urs’ in the Dargah, called upon the Muslim religious leaders to spread the message of Sufism.
He underlined that there is no relation between religion and terrorism.
Abedin said terrorists in the name of ‘Jihad’ mislead and kill innocent people.
“Terrorists have no religion and due to them the image of the religion is getting tarnished. In reality, what the terrorists follow is not religion,” the Deewan said.
He hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he is giving importance to Sufi people and their relevance in present times.
A large number of people, irrespective of their religion, visit the Ajmer Dargah of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti which presents a fine example of unity.
