Bhatkal, the community sensitive coastal town in Karnataka has become the focus of attention for the electronic and the print media and for the security agencies.
The high-intensity focus has increased after the arrest of the banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM).
The fear of being apprehended is so high among the residents of Bhatkal that they think it is better to maintained distance from the family of the accused.
The families of the accused urges the government no to terrorise or harass the relatives or the friends who are coming forward to help them as the family is in dire need of financial assistance.
Though it is the job of the police to remain vigilant but going beyond the extent seems a bit extreme.
Karnataka Home Minister K. J George assures that there is no issue if anyone and any organization can help the family. The police will not detain any innocent person. But it will not show mercy to the one involved in anti-social or terrorist activities.
