Indore, February 17: Tents seem to have become troublesome for the BJP, which is out to go for a makeover at its national conclave here after the second successive defeat in the Lok Sabha elections.
Though party leaders are projecting the idea of holding the meet in tents and keeping 4,000 odd guests in the tent township as going rural, it has not found many takers.
Party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said delegates attending the conference were being served carrot, radish and peas in line with the rural theme.
When a questioner asked another spokesman Prakash Javadekar as to why Rajnath Singh and Varun Gandhi were not staying in tents, he merely said Rajnath was down with fever.
Another question on why the party has provided air conditioners in some VIP tents causing heartburn among partymen who had to be satisfied with fans was brushed aside by the leaders.
