Mr. Shahid Peeran , Congress leader expressed his satisfaction that on the representation of Minorities Welfare Minister, Mr. Ahmedullah, tents have been erected at the Hyderabad airport to facilitate the Muslims for offering prayer on Firdays.
Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah had written to the Director of GMR for giving permission to the Muslims for offering prayers on Fridays and also in the month of Ramazan.
It may be noted that Mr. Ahmedullah himself had offered prayers during the month of Ramazan last year. This year, on the representation of the Minister, tents have been erected and a separate Hajj terminal has been provided at the airport. During the Hajj camp, arrangements were made for offering prayers.
On the representation of the minister, User Development fees was also reduced for Hajj pilgrims. Again the minister for Minorities welfare was responsible for the enhancement of Minorities budget to the extent of Rs. 1027 crore this year.
