Tension Grips OU Campus Once Again-MCA Exams Boycotted

Hyderabad, December 27: The Osmania University campus in the city was once again in the grip of tension, as the students boycotted the exams of MCA and M.Ed on Monday, demanding postponement of the same.

Rejecting the demand of the students, the OU authorities have made arrangements for conducting the MCA and M. Ed exams as per the earlier announced schedule. The students boycotted the examination at the centres in OU campus, protesting against the attitude of the Vice-chancellor in not taking note of their demand. The OU JAC also supported the action of the students. Huge number of policemen were deployed at the examination centre and in the OU campus, as a precautionary measure, and this has created a tense atmosphere.

In addition to the two exam centres in OU, the students also boycotted the exams at the centres located in the Secunderabad Wesly College and Koti women’ College.

Speaking to the media on the issue, the Vice Chancellor of Osmania University, Prof Tirupati Reddy pointed out that it was already announced two days back that the exams of MCA and M Ed would not be postponed under any circumstances.
