(Siasat News)Tension was created in Begum Bazaar area by the Hindu fundamentalists over a trivial issue turning it into a communal problem.
It is reported that BJP corporator, Mr. Vaikuntham reached Feel Khana area of Begum Bazaar on the pretext of cleaning the area. Some Muslims objected to it. In a few moments, Mr. Vaikunthjam called 15 to 20 R.S.S. activists and attacked the local youths shouting the slogan “Jai Shree Ram”. This incident took place near Pahelwan’s hotel in Feel Khana. Mr. Vaikuntham also called TDP corporator, Mr. Raja Singh and the members of other Hindi fundamentalist organizations. They staged a dharna in front of Begum Bazar police station demanding to arrest Muslims youths. During the course of agitation, the protesters stopped the cars of the Muslims and attacked the persons. It is reported that some youths got injured.
R.S.S. activists continued their agitation for about an hour. The Police of Begum Bazaar Police Station acted like silent spectators.
They did not take any action against the miscreants.
Targeting the Muslim sub-inspectator of Police, Mr. Iqbal Husain, the agitators alleged that he helped the Muslim youths to escape. The agitators openly warned the police that if the Muslim youths were not arrested till the next morning, serious consequences would follow. Police failed to disperse the agitators. They were targeting the commuters selectively. At last, police had to commission Task Force and the personnel of the Quick Reaction Team and other police staff to bring the situation under control
