Tendulkar celebrates his 43rd birthday in a ‘special’ way

New Delhi: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 43rd birthday in a special way by playing street cricket with school children from the ‘Make-A-Wish India’ foundation at M.I.G. Cricket Club in Mumbai.

Several people from the cricketing world also wished the master blaster on the occasion of his birthday.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Anurag Thakur wrote on Twitter, “Happy birthday to one and only @sachin_rt . Wishing you lots of happiness and good health. #SRT43.”

Sharing a snap with the former Indian skipper, veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted, “A very happy birthday to the most humble and forever young @sachin_rt .. Much love always.”

“Many happy returns of the day to god of cricket a humble man and a true gem ! The hero of our nation @sachin_rt God bless you master !,” all-rounder Yuvraj Singh wrote.

Labelling Tendulkar as his role model, Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane wished the legend a very happy birthday and hopes for his good health.

“Many happy returns of the day champion @sachin_rt have a blessed year!,” former team-mate Anil Kumble tweeted.
Meanwhile, Indian boxer Vijender Singh said, “Happy Birthday to @sachin_rt #LivingLegend #respect #love God bless sir.”

Tendulkar, who is the only cricketer to have hit 100 international centuries, has notched up 15921 runs in 200 Test appearances for India.

He also holds a tally of 18426 runs from 463 ODIs he played. (ANI)
