Tender process for one lakh DBR houses completed

The GHMC has taken up construction of double bed-room houses and created a history by calling tenders for one lakh houses and the entire tender process has been completed. These one lakh houses are being taken up in some of the basthis is also a record. In the history of Hyderabad after getting the Independence and also after formation of the Telangana Government in some months only the tenders for construction of one lakh houses and the entire tender process have been completed.

The people, who are residing in slums, basthis and so on were convinced after various interactions by the officials for which the residents have come forward and joined hands to give the space for the construction of the houses.  This could be achieved only as per the directions and suggestions given by K.T. Rama Rao,  Minister for MA&UD, Bonthu Rammohan, Mayor,  Dr B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC and officials joint efforts made this achievement.

Five Collectors in coordination with various Government heads of the Departments the proposals for the construction of one lakh houses could be achieved as the above said officials have identified the lands with lot of patience and responsibilities taken by the officials is the result of achieving this target. Even this matter has also be discussed in various convergence meetings where top priority has been given for the construction of double bed room houses.

The construction of double bed room houses has been started at IDH Colony, Bhoiguda where 396 double bed room houses have been constructed and handed over to the beneficiaries which has created an history in the Country even E.S.L Narasimhan,  H.E. Governor has also praised that the houses constructed vast space better than the IAS quarters which are existing at New Delhi. It has also been observed that every month officials from various States are coming to GHMC  to view the construction of double bed room houses which created this IDH Colony as a tourist spot. For the coming Diwali three colonies are getting ready for house warming ceremony where all beneficiaries will be getting their houses for the ensuing Dussehra and Diwali festivals. The three colonies i.e., Mansoorabad, Arukala Nancharamma Basthi and Lambadi thanda at Nacharam.

The each double bedroom with an area of 560 sq.ft., with two bedroom, two toilets, kitchen and hall is being given to the beneficiaries by the Government of Telangana at free of cost basing on the successful of this project the State Governments like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and other states in the Country are also taking up the double bed room housing scheme.
