Mumbai, August 13: Ten CISF personnel, including an Assistant Commandant, were today booked for allegedly thrashing four policemen and kidnapping them in south Mumbai, police said today.
An FIR was registered against Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) men, including Assistant Commandant Alok Joshi, who badly assaulted four constables and one of them was even confined to a room belonging to the security force, Senior Inspector R Bhogale told PTI.
Police constable Pramod Tawde was manning the traffic outside Orange gate of Mumbai Port Trust when he saw a truck heading towards the gate plying in a wrong direction.
“Tawde intercepted the truck and asked the driver to show his license. CISF men objected to it and told Tawde to allow the truck to enter,” Bhogale said.
“However, Tawde said the truck would be allowed to go only after interrogating the driver.
