Jaipur: Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few isolated places in Rajasthan today leading to a drop in temperatures, the MeT department said.
Places in Udaipur, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions received rains, it said.
Alwar district’s Tizara recorded 6 cm and Kotkasim 4 cm, Udaipur district’s Salumber 3 cm and Sarara 2 cm, Jaipur district’s Amer 3 cm, and Pratapgarh district’s Dhariabad and Bharatpur district’s Nagar 2 cm each, the department said.
Other places recorded 1 cm rainfall in the last 24 hours.
Churu recorded 20 mm rainfall, Kota 10 mm and Pilani 1.9 mm, it said.
Meanwhile, temperatures dropped by a few degrees due to the rains.
Ganganagar was the hottest place in the state at 39.5 degrees Celsius by 38.3 in Churu, 37 each in Jaisalmer and Bikaner, 35.7 in Kota, 35.5 in Ajmer and 34.7 in Barmer and 33.4 in Jaipur, the department said.
The MeT department has predicted rain or thunderstorm with rain very likely to occur at many places in east Rajasthan and at a few places in the state’s western parts.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in east Rajasthan during the next 24 hours, it said.
