(Siasat News) Dr. K. Srikara Reddy organized Passport Adalat to clear the cases of temporary passports to Haj pilgrims, yesterday in Passport office at Secunderabad.
Dr. Reddy said that almost all the applications have been disposed off and temporary passports have been issued to 507 Haj pilgrims for a short period of one year.
Mr. Syed Khaleeluddin, President of Haj Committee, Prof. S.A. Shukoor, CEO and Mr. Mohammed Siddique, OSD were present.
Passport Officer told that out of 1200 applicants, passports have been issued to 507 Haj pilgrims. The remaining applications will be disposed of on the fulfillment of formalities and they will be given permanent passports for a period of 10 years.
He informed that on the instructions from the Ministry of External Affairs, temporary passports have been issued for one year pending police enquiry. Passport Officer told the applicants that if they didn’t get passport, they should recored their complaint online.
He also told that if an applicant doesn’t receive his passport, in one month, he can submit another application for which no extra fees should be paid.
He informed that another Passport Seva Kendra will be opened in Kareemnagar
