Temporary health cards issued

Sangareddy, March 14: In a move to help those who need Arogyasri cards for medical treatment, the district administration has been issuing temporary health cards. These cards are being issued with the endorsement of the mandal Tahsildars and three copies were made. While one copy was handed over to the beneficiary, one copy was kept with the Arogyasri office located at the Collectorate while the remaining copy was sent to Arogyasri Trust at Hyderabad.

Many of those not having white ration cards and Arogyasri cards had approached the district administration during the Rachabanda programme. After receiving those applications, they were forwarded to the mandal level officers for ascertaining the details. Once it was ascertained it was being forwarded to the district Collector for issuance of temporary health card.

So far nine temporary health cards were issued in Medak district after February 10. While six card holders required general surgeries, one of them had kidney problem, another cardiac problem and the other one was ailing with thyroid problem.

Health camps

So far in the district 1,070 health camps were conducted and 1,85,702 persons were screened in these camps. As many as 26,075 surgeries were performed so far and an amount of Rs. 76.05 crore was paid to hospitals for performing these surgeries.
