Temple opposite to Eidgah Mir Aalam

Miscreants have prepared a structure on the land, right in front of Eidgah Mir Aalam entrance; and efforts are on to give it a shape of temple. Puja was performed at the place last year on the occasion of Bonal festival inspite of the fact that there was no sign of a temple in the past. Sources have to say that in a hush hush move, at first kum kum was sprayed at the tree right in front of the right-side entrance of Eidgah. Locals didn’t pay attention to it. Then a boulder was placed there. Gradually the number of boulders increased; then it was tried to create a temple structure. The miscreants also painted saffron lines after whitewashing the stones. Surprisingly the whole drama is enacted right before the entrance of historical Eidgah and the miscreants could easily increase the number of boulders despite the fact that the house of the watchman of the Eidgah appointed by the Waqf Board is in close proximity to the place.

It must be noted that Eidgah Mir Alam has the privilege of being one of the biggest Eidgahs of Andhra Pradesh which can accommodate 400000 musallis for namaz-e-Eid at a time. Government should immediately take measures to stop the construction of illegal and unauthorized temples otherwise these unauthorized structures will give rise to several problems in the future.
