Temple for KCR as birthday gift

Dandepalli (Adilabad):On the lines of a temple built for AICC president Sonia Gandhi in Karimnagar district out of gratitude for granting statehood to Telangana, here is a temple built for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Dandepalli of Luxettipet mandal in the district.

Devout follower and TRS leader Gunda Ravinder built the temple spending money out of his pocket out of respect for his iconic leader. He and his spouse inaugurated the temple on Wednesday on the occasion of Chief Minister’s birth day amidst chanting of hymns by Vedic scholars and with participation of TRS activists.

MLC Puranam Satish cut the cake and congratulated the Gunda couple for having built the temple. For Ravinder, KCR is akin to God. He painted his house pink with TRS slogans appearing on walls, built a small temple in front of his house and got KCR image made at Ramadugu spending Rs 1 lakh out of his pocket and got it installed.

He even wears a gold chain containing locket with KCR image on it. Ravinder, mandal official spokesman of the TRS, earned plaudits from district-level leaders for his active participation in TRS programmes since its inception. In recognition of his services, he received the merit certificate ‘best activist of public movement’ at the Republic Day celebrations held in Adilabad from the District Collector.

For the past one year, he has been trying to get one leader or the other to get the temple inaugurated, but failed to get at least one. Unable to do anything, at last he along with his spouse inaugurated the temple.
