The Telugu University will be named after Suravaram Prathap Reddy after its bifurcation, TRS MP from Nizamabad K Kavitha has said.
She paid rich tributes to Suravaram’s statue and garlanded it at Tank Bund on the occasion of his birth anniversary here. Speaking on the occasion, the MP said the government will soon name the varsity after its bifurcation which is under process. The TRS has already made similar statements during statehood struggle, she recalled. “We are conducting the event of Reddy’s birth anniversary for first time after achieving statehood”, she said. People will remember Suravaram Prathap Reddy for his services, Kavitha added. (NSS)
