PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana said that the Congress party won the first victory in the south, under the leadership of the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he said Congress would surely achieve victory in the ensuing elections to the state and the general elections too. He has expressed the view that the Telugu people living in Karnataka gave a decisive verdict. He said the Karnataka verdict was an evidence that the people would not tolerate corruption and plunder. He said the victory of one or two like Sriramulu does not mean that the people approved their corruption.
Botsa maintained that all the Congress leaders in the state were united. On his earlier remarks that he did not know about some of the welfare programmes, Botsa said it was not important and said he and others would learn about the schemes, tomorrow, if not today.(NSS)
