Energy Minister Jagadishwar Reddy on Sunday claimed that Telangana would soon achieve the target of 100% literacy in the State.
Speaking to media persons after flagging off 5K Run at Necklace Road here, the minister said Telangana would soon join Kerela in the list of 100% literate States. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was keen to achieve 100% literacy in the State and this could be done with active cooperation of NGOs and all individuals.
The minister also sought cooperation of all NGOs in spreading awareness among people about the welfare schemes of State Government. He praised the activities of Rotary Club and said that the organisation has been playing an active role in eradication of illiteracy. (INN)
