Congress MLA R Damodar Reddy on Monday alleged that successive rulers ignored the development of Telangana region.
Participating in the debate on State Reorganisation Bill in the State Legislative Assembly, Damodar Reddy alleged that the Seemandhra leaders looted the resources of Telangana and developed irrigation projects and industrial zones in their regions. He said that the GO 610 was not implemented properly and Seemandhra people dominated over jobs in the region. The bureaucrats openly discriminated against Telangana region and it was kept away from the development process.
Damodar Reddy said that naxal activities were cited as the reason to stop developmental works in the region. He asked the Seemandhra leaders to furnish proofs of their contribution to the development of Hyderabad and Telangana region. (INN)
