Hyderabad: Telangana Waqf Tribunal’s new office has been set up at 7th floor of Gagan Vihar. Although both the nominated members of the tribunal have assumed office, hearing of cases has not begun yet. According to sources the file regarding split of Waqf Tribunal await approval from both the states. Activities of Waqf tribunal will begin after the approval.
Telangana government had appointed two members of the tribunal two months ago while one member is yet to be appointed. Activities of Andhra Pradesh Waqf Tribunal is continued from the present tribunal office located in the City Civil Court premises hence no place was available for Telangana Waqf Tribunal. Finally it was decided to set up Telangana Waqf Tribunal office at 7th floor of Gagan Vihar. Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel and Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah inspected the tribunal office on Wednesday and took stock of the facilities available there.
