Telangana Urdu Foundation has been formed with an objective of Developing Urdu Language and Literature. Prof. M.M. Rahman, Scientist and Educationist has been elected its President whereas Prof. Maqbool Farooqui as Vice President and Dr. Mahboob Fareed as Secretary, Mr. Momin Khan, Joint Secretary and Prof. M.A. Rahman Treasurer. Mr. Mohammed Ahmed and Mr. Nasrullah Khan were elected as an Executive members. Dr. Mohammed Mahmood Fareed, in his speech told that all of us should inculcate the habit of working together. These days our children are speaking half English and half Urdu. This should be avoided. Prof. M.A. Rahman told that we should get Urdu newspapers and Magazines. The other participants of the meeting made some suggestions for the promotion of Urdu. Mr. Mohammed Ahmed proposed vote of thanks.
