Telangana tops in organ donation: Lakshma Reddy

Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today exhorted the people to keep healthy and donate their organs to give a new lease of life people seeking them for survival. Telangana state is in forefront in donating organs at national level and Jeevandan officials will take award in Delhi on Monday he said.

The minister inaugurated Organ Awareness walk at Necklace Road launched by Jeevandan and Maxcure Hospital here. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is spending huge funds to transform the state into a healthy Telangana. Stating that he already pledged his organs, the minister asked the people to save lives of accident victims who need organs. Being healthy is not just earning money and enjoying the life instead help others by donating their organs to the people who are facing life and death problem. Organ donation is great thing and one should follow it he said. We can live after death by donating our healthy organs to those seeking them he said. The people should remain healthy by regular walk, exercise and yoga and get rid of from bad habits. KCR vision is to ensure that the people remain healthy by getting better health services at the government hospitals. Be aware of disease and keep at bay by taking precautionary measures the health minister said. Jeevandan Incharge Dr Swarna Latha, officials of Maxcure Hospital and others attended. (NSS)
