Hyderabad, December 23: Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader T Srinivas Yadav today demanded that Andhra Pradesh police must register a suo motu case against Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao for his reported objectionable remarks against those demanding union territory (UT) status for Hyderabad. Addressing a press conference here, the former TDP Minister contended that KCR was stoking regional passions and instigating violence in the state by threatening to ”cut off the tongue if anyone demands UT status for Hyderabad”.
Coming down heavily on the ruling Congress Government, he said it was unfortunate that the state government was remaining a ”mute spectator” even as TRS activists were allegedly taking law unto their hands and attacking property of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema people in Hyderabad. At a separate press conference, BJP State President B Dattatraya and BJP Telangana Udhyama Committee Convenor Ch Vidyasagar Rao said the TRS chief should mind his languague and should not do anything to fuel animosity among people of various regions and complicate the issue further.
