Telangana State Govt failed to save the Holy Mother Cow: Goshala Federation

On the occasion of Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanthi celebrations, Telangana  Goshala Federation is organizing “Go Ratna” awards program on April 6 at Sri Jain Sewa Sangh, Ramkote here.

 

In a pressnote here today, Sangh president Mahesh Agarwal said Telangana Goshala Federation has decided to give “Goratna” awards to veterans and renowned animal welfare activists working in the State. He said Gujarat Go Sewa Ayog Chairman Vallabh Bhai Katheeria and Advisor to Telangana State Government G. Vivek will be the chief guests. Names of the awardees will be announced on April 5 by the selection committee. The awards consist of a citation and Rs 50,000 cash.

 

Welcoming the Gujarat State Government’s Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act and life imprisonment for culprits, Agarwal said there was total violation of Cow Slaughter Act in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States. The Federation was regularly urging the State government for strict implementation of Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act, he said and demanded life imprisonment for violation of cow slaughter. The State government has miserably failed to save the holy Mother Cow, he said, adding that the State government must provide basic facilities to the farmers to maintain cows. (NSS)
