Hyderabad, March 08: Employees from Telangana region who took part in the non-cooperation movement from February 17 to March 3 will get their salaries credited to their bank accounts in a couple of days.
Arrangements for payment of pensions is also being made and they will be paid during this week.
According to a circular issued today, all the state government employees in Telangana region will be paid their full salary for the month of February pending a final decision by the High Court where a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is filed questioning the payment of salaries to employees who signed the attendence register but did not work as part of the non-cooperation movement.
The final decision will be made next month and in case, the High Court orders for deduction of salaries for the period between February 17 to February 28, the equivalent salary amount will be deducted from the salaries to be paid over the next few months.
Though the employees who participated in the agitation had not insisted on the payment of salaries, the government took the decision on humanitarian grounds.
All the heads of departments were asked to forward a list of employees who participated in the stir to their head offices. Sources said that if necessary, the lists of employee who participated in the agitation will be presented before the High Court where the PIL has been filed.
