In the Congress back room in Delhi, and later at a meeting that was led by party president Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister, the focus was on whether to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to create a new state of Telangana. Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that a decision is “now awaited” from the government.
