Hyderabad, January 27: The Telangana Private Sector Employees’ Association will be organising “Telangana Private Udyogula Garjana” at Chakripuram Crossroads in Cherlapally of Ranga Reddy district on January 27 at 3 pm.
The TPSEA president, Mr Madhu Satyam, will preside over the meeting. The TPJAC convenor, Prof. Kodandaram, the Siddipet MLA, Mr T. Harish Rao, the Telangana Employees’ Association president, Mr C Vital, the Telangana Gazetted Employees Association the president, Mr V Srinivas Goud, the Telangana Lecturers’ Forum president, Dr K Venkata Swamy and the chairman, GHMC of TJAC, Mr A Sridhar, will be the guests of honour.
In a media release, the president and general secretary, Mr Madhu Satyam and Mr K Baskar respectively have alleged that although the industrialists from the Seemandhra region were establishing industries in the Telangana region by utilising all the resources and getting all kinds of subsidies and incentives being provided by the State government, they were providing employment only to the people from the Seemandhra region and showing indifference towards the people of Telangana.
The association has demanded that about 80 per cent of jobs should be provided to the “sons of the soil” in all the industries either established or to be established in the region and this should be followed in reservations also. Other demands include “rule of reservation” to the private sector also and render justice to the SC, ST and BC communities; ensure employment security to the private sector employees in consonance with the government mandates; safeguard the rights and interests of the contract employees; provide welfare measures and other allowances to the private employees on a par with the government employees and the minimum wages should be fixed at Rs 6,000 for unskilled employees and Rs 9,000 for the skilled employees.
