Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha M.P. Mr. P. Goverdhan Reddy told that negotiations and movement both are necessary for achieving the separate state of Telangana.
Inviting Mr. K.Chandrasekhara Rao to New Delhi for negotiations at the instance of Ms. Sonia. Mr. K.C.R should now refrain from criticizing the Congress President Ms, Sonia Gandhi.
Mr. Goverdhan Reddy played an important role in arranging the meetings of Mr. K.Chandrasekhara Rao with Congress High Command.
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Goverdhan Reddy told that Congress High Command is seriously considering the issue of Telangana. He said that he is confident that Ms. Sonia Gandhi would fulfill his desire of declaring Telangana a separate State.
He told that Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mr. Vyalar Ravi and Mr. Oscar Fernandez have admitted that negotiations were held in Delhi on Telangana issue.
He said that Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao is the leader who is campaigning for Telangana Movement. If need be, further negotiations would be carried out with him. At the same time, it is the responsibility of Mr. KCR that he should avoid any criticism against Congress. It is a national party and it only can form Telangana State. Mr. KCR has offered to merge his party into Congress but Congress Party didn’t react on it. He dismissed the promises of implementing welfare programmes, which are being made by the leaders of YSR Congress and TDP. He admitted that some Chief Ministers have done injustice to Telangana.
